CHERRY NIXON - CREATOR
& PRESENTER
Cherry Nixon has been a collector for over 20
years. She is a trained teacher (PGCE) and has created her own course on
antiques and collectables. She teaches her course privately, as well as at
Bristol and Bath Universities. She is an antiques journalist and has recently
had articles published in The Antiques Magazine, The Antiques Trade Gazette,
Collect It!, Woman's Realm, Woman, The English Home and The Northern Farming
Gazette. She has monthly columns in Period House and The Dealer Magazine.
Cherry occasionally speaks on the radio and
has made a number of appearances on television. She recently appeared as guest
expert for West Country Television in a feature on buying at flea markets.
She was invited as guest speaker on the "Sunbird" Cruise Liner (Airtours)
for their antiques theme Atlantic crossing. Her lessons delighted the
passengers, who gave her one of the highest enjoyment ratings achieved on a
cruise this year.
